Learn to swim freestyle with less effort and more confidence

Practical swimming technique lessons with video and clear feedback: breathing, catch and body position, step by step.

Technique before fitness

When the water drains your energy, more lengths are not the answer.

Swimming is the most technical part of triathlon. When head position, breathing, body line and catch do not work together, you tire before your fitness has a chance to help.

In a lesson we break the movement into manageable parts, use video to make the issue visible and immediately try a specific correction. The aim is not one perfect length, but a movement you can repeat calmly and safely.

What you take away from a lesson

Calmer breathing

We find an exhale and inhale rhythm that stops every stroke from feeling like a fight for air.

More economical movement

We adjust body position, catch and timing so more of your energy moves you forward.

A clear next step

You leave with specific drills and know what to focus on during your next independent swim.

For beginners and experienced triathletes

The lesson meets you where you are. You do not need to be fast and you do not need to be signed up for a race.

  • You can swim only a few lengths and want more calm and confidence.
  • You can swim freestyle but become breathless quickly or struggle in the water.
  • You are training for triathlon and want to save energy for the bike and run.
  • You swim regularly but have no feedback on what is slowing you down.

01—04

One useful correction at a time

We do not build technique from ten instructions at once. We focus on the change that can help your swimming most right now.

01

I watch you swim

We begin with a few lengths so I can see your natural movement and the main thing holding you back.

02

Make the detail visible

Video from different angles helps you understand what is really happening in the water.

03

Practise the correction

Simple drills isolate the new movement before we connect it back into freestyle.

04

Leave with a task

You know what to practise alone and how to recognise that the technique is improving.

FAQ

Common questions about swimming lessons

Can I come if I can barely swim freestyle?

Yes. Starting from the basics can be an advantage because we can build the movement without years of habits. We adjust the pace to your confidence in the water.

Are the lessons only for triathletes?

No. They also suit people who want to swim more comfortably, gain confidence in the water or learn freestyle without racing ambitions.

Where and when are the lessons?

Regular lessons take place on Fridays at Strahov, usually around 19:00. We always confirm the exact time, place and availability in advance.

Do I need individual coaching as well?

No. A swimming technique lesson can be booked on its own, without individual coaching.
